School Notes:

  • Located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the beautiful, 100-acre campus has excellent teaching-learning facilities. Through the support of alumni and friends, the College has continues to invest in new and renovated facilities. A $7 million renovation to the Mikkelsen Library was completed last spring and this fall marked the inaugural season of Kirkeby-Over Stadium.
  • Augustana is a selective, residential liberal arts college affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Central to its mission are five shared values: Christian, Liberal Arts, Excellence, Community, and Service. The College is an acknowledged leader in undergraduate higher education. US News & World Report recognizes Augustana as a top ten "Midwest Baccalaureate College" and has also identified it as a best value in this same category. Augustana is also listed in The Templeton Guide: Colleges That Encourage Character Development.
  • Augustana provides opportunities for involvement in over 60 clubs and organizations and student activities, including special interest groups, NCAA Division II athletics, music and theatre. Major college traditions include Viking Days, Augustana Vespers, and Family Weekend.
