This article discusses important factors to consider when evaluating and choosing a liberal arts college.West Virginia State University is a historically black university, which has evolved into a fully accessible, racially diverse, and multi-generational institution offering baccalaureate, associate, and graduate degrees. The suburban University is located in Institute, WV, eight miles from downtown Charleston. The ninety-four acre campus is a state assisted higher education institution with an approximate enrollment of 5,000 students.
