  • The campus of Southwest Minnesota State University is located in Marshall, Minnesota (population 13,446), a growth center in the 19-county, southwestern Minnesota area with a regional population of approximately 250,000. Students enjoy the comforts of a medium sized city, with many amentiies found in larger areas.  Marshall has positioned itself for growth over the next few years with the addition of the Southwest Amateur Sports Center and the Minnesota Emergency Response and Industrial Training center construction and expansion.
